Personally owning, several androids in the family as phones and tablets, I am thankful to Google for pushing open source to a proud leader. All manufacturers may freely use it and may offer newer phones. I wish I will be able to play more with Android the way I do with my Linux, as soon as Nexus like devices become commonplace.
